I love 5e, but I don’t think you need an expert to let you know that 5e weapons are basic at best and completely unbalanced and nonsense at worse (I mean really morningstars? I have never been a fan of firearms in Medieval Fantasy settings, and this was especially true in TTRPG's. As someone who always took my key inspirations from history it always made me twitch to see a player walking around with near modern firearms, revolvers and rifles in an otherwise medieval inspired setting.
