Vampire: The Requiem 2nd Edition Condition Cards

Selected Option:

Part of the Vampire: the Requiem 2nd Edition rules, Conditions add an additional layer of consequence and reward to certain actions in the Chronicles of Darkness. Various things within the course of a game can cause Conditions. These include exceptional successes, supernatural abilities, and really any situation where the Storyteller thinks they can be used to heighten the drama of a game.

These Vampire: the Requiem 2nd Edition Condition Cards are a handy and elegant way to keep track of and incorporate Conditions into your Chronicle with each of the 44 cards featuring a single Condition.

About Vampire: the Requiem 2nd Edition:

Tonight, you become one of the Kindred, the beautiful and the damned who hide behind our ordinary world. Driven by a hunger like fire, you will struggle to maintain your humanity while immersed in a vicious society of monsters.

But the sharks you swim with aren’t the only ones out there. Your Kindred are the smart, sexy vampires of pop culture, but you are haunted by the Strix -- the grisly, demon-possessed corpses of folklore. They slaughtered the Night-Senate of Rome, drowned the tombs of the Princes of Alexandria, and warred with the Plague Lords of Transylvania.

Tonight, in Vampire: the Requiem 2nd Edition, they’re loose on the streets of your city. Time for the sinners to become the saints, and the hunters to become the prey.

Also available for Vampire: the Requiem 2nd Edition:

Check out the Strix Chronicle Fiction Anthology a collection that unveils the schemes and atrocities of Kindred and Strix alike. These are the tales of those whom even monsters fear.

Note: This was previlously published as Blood and Smoke Condition Cards, now retitled.

Does this include the optional system conditions? Like Conditions-as-Health ?

Are they standard card size? would they fit in a 9 up sheet in my ST Binder?

Is the vampire cards the same as the WOD cards, but has the extra vampire conditions? Do I need to buy both sets?

They are slightly different to my knowledge, some conditions unique to mortals are only found in the other set and those unique to vampires in this one.

Does this come with one card per condition, or are there multiple copies of the more common conditions?

My guess is that first one, since there are 42 Conditions listed in the book and this is 44 cards. I don't have the cards yet (chose not to add $1 for the PDF), but I'll double check when the physical ones arrive... I might be compelled to buy more than one set. That would be Obsession (Persistent) Condition if you're keeping score.

Thanks! Like P. B said I may have to get more than one set in that case.... While some conditions probably won't be needed by more than one player / ST at the same time, others are common enough I think having multiples would be nice/necessary. Of course, maybe I can just get this and the GMC set and scrape by.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
