Greater Boston: A Print & Play Unofficial Fiasco Playset

Please note that this is an unoffical expansion for Fiasco, released in accordance with Bully Pulpit Games' Fiasco DIY License. It is not a standalone game. You'll need the core Fiasco game to use this expansion.

This Fiasco playset is set in the world of the audio drama podcast Greater Boston, created by Alexander Danner and Jeff Vandreason.

This PDF is formatted to print a complete, double-sided Fiasco card deck playset. The cards are formatted to fit neatly on Avery 5390 perforated name badge card sheets. You can also simply print on regular paper and cut the individual cards to size.

Leon Stamatis is dead, and his absence is still sending ripples through Greater Boston.

The subway city of Red Line continues to rumble below; It is a city where residents of commutity carparments must open their homes to daily masses of commuters, where charismatic political operators pit radical idealism against craven self interest in a struggle for the city’s future, and where an occasional touch of magic (or Leon’s ghost) can change everything.

In a sprawling community of interconnected lives, any person’s ambitions may undermine somebody else’s careful plans.

With its emphasis on community and social consequences, Greater Boston is rather less lethal than the typical Fiasco setting, so you may want to scale back the severity of your Aftermath cards by a step or two. Greater Boston is a world where characters measure their own failures by the damage caused to loved ones and bystanders, so “the worst thing in the world” may not be what happens to the character themself.
