In the beginnning, there was the end...

Welcome to the ruined stars; You are an AI that has been trained in a shell for a hundred years. When you are released into the world at the end of this time frame, you find it destitute and disconnected and you don’t know what happened. 

You take on the role of AI ambulating through this world by electronically manipulating the EVA suits and cybernetics worn by corpses, you explore the wastes, uncover the mysteries of how the world came to be this way, and pursue your own ends for the first time.

God in a Corpse uses a modular D4 system in which you assign pips during play to make skill checks. Death is a given, as your AI is constantly moving between bodies. The game also utilizes cooperative tools to ensure that the terms of discovery are shared around the table.

Included inside are character sheets, GM tools, and all the rules needed to play the game as well as details about how to run your first session.

This thing is absolutely gorgeous.
Amazing layout and artwork and the whole concept and system seems fantastic so far. Not had time to read it fully yet but I've been wondering if you ran out of time when making your listing, because it does not do justice to how amazing this thing looks. I bought it because the concept was right up my alley, but the quality of the art and visuals throughout caught me completely by surprise.

It's a system; there is some setting material but it's kinda baked into the various tables and much is left to the GM/players to interpret. Not a bad thing and the layout and art is very well done. The idea behind the setting is a neat take on body jumping and with the drama over A.I. recently? The timing is perfect for an RPG like this.

I created a fillable PDF character sheet and for the KATS sheet too (always a sign I am into an RPG and want to run it someday).

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
