I've run one session of this so far (using Brighter Worlds, a Cairn/Into the Odd hack). My impressions so far: This is perhaps my favorite OSR module that I have run yet, besting Winter's Daughter.

What makes it so great is the automata. They give the PCs something to "do" besides fight monsters. They can fight them, study them, and re-program them to their own ends using "command slips" that can be found scattered throughout the temple. The automata serve as puzzle, monster, and asset. I think the players had a huge sense of shared accomplishment when they first got a hulking "Tarantuton" working on their side.

We got just up to the point of entering the hornet's nest. I'm glad they didn't get much further because I feel like the motivations of the NPCs here could use more fleshing out. It's nice that there are two factions of hornets, but I'm not entirely sure how to play the characters. I'm gonna have to do some work on my own on that. Similarly, there's...See more

Very quick read-through, already hooked and excited for future adventures! Love the faction play, great characters, and of course the art is amazing. Has the creativity and imaginative art I always loved from ATTI, but I feel like I'm waaaay more likely to use this adventure and ideas from it because of its more concrete design.

The PDf is set up as spreads. Can a version set up as singles please be provided? Singles is far more usable.

Hi! Very cool module! Just a small feedback: the Hostility Chart is very much not colorblind-friendly... Maybe you can use blue for not Hostile?

Also, is there a chance of a non-spread version of the pdf? Thank you in advance!

Thank you!
Apologies for not thinking about not having it colour-blind accessible! I've added different strokes for the Hostility Chart as well as uploaded a page version of the PDF.
Let me know if there are any other issues. :)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
