Characters may at some point ask around for information, and this supplement has 100 things for them to hear when doing so. Whether or not what they hear is true is up to the GameMaster. These rumours can be used as background colour and as potential adventure hooks.

This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier.

  • The Singhara god of war is Hamzah the Pridelord, a megalithic cat who slumbers in his temple in Singhavrem. It's said that a single strand from the great cat's mane will increase the strength of weapons and armour tenfold, which make such incredibly valuable. There are rumours that a number of people outside Zanaga have been paying less than scrupulous adventurers to try and sneak into the temple to steal hairs from Hamzah's mane.
  • The Spire in Zanaga is an Orc ruin occupied by some of the Orc descendants of the lost expedition of the Second Darkness. There are rumours that within the Spire are secrets dating back to the expedition's attempted colonisation of the jungles that even the current occupants of the ruin don't know about.
  • The Spire of the Phoenix is a golden tower in the Grey Wastes in which a Djinn still resides, waiting for mortals to break open his crypt. It's rumoured that the Djinn has been influencing some mortals through the use of magic, encouraging them to travel into the Grey Wastes and set him free once more.
  • The Three Skulls Trading Company is the most powerful of the merchant concerns plundering Zanaga's wealth and is the closest thing to a non-native government in the region. It's rumoured that the pirate lords of Orris who control the company are planning to make the company not merely the closest thing to a non-native government, but an actual government, turning the land into their own private fiefdom.
  • The Umbral Forest to the south of Herman's Gulch in Zanaga is plagued by carrion eaters that hang the rotting carcasses of their prey from the trees. There are rumours that a few bodies have been found much closer to the settlement recently, hung from the trees in exactly the same manner, and there are worries that the carrion eaters may be becoming bolder and closing in on the Gulch.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
