Haven Fallen - Solo Adventure - Warpath To Deadrock

ADD TO WISHLIST >

From the barren landscape of Teresna II, dubbed Deadrock by its inhabitants, this neutral place sprang up to become a vibrant, hidden sanctuary. Deadrock had grown from a ragtag assembly of tents into a bustling hub of trade and refuge. Led by Captain Ezekiel “Zeke” Morgan, a former Trinity Pact Executive turned fugitive, the outlaws had carved out a fragile peace in the shadow of oppression. For the first time, exiled engineers, rogue scientists, and disenfranchised labourers found common cause and a semblance of freedom, away from the all-seeing eyes of the Trinity Pact's surveillance drones. This newfound prosperity did not go unnoticed. The Black Echo, a network Trinity Pact network of spies and corporate investors, had its representatives in every corner of the galaxy – including Deadrock. The outpost's strategic location and its burgeoning black market drew the interest of the Pact’s powerful business interests and their bitter rivals, the United Colonies of Erisia (UCE). The Anvil Union (the UCE on Deadrock), a desperate faction of workers and rebels, saw Deadrock as a potential stronghold. What began as whispered conversations and clandestine deals quickly escalated into covert skirmishes, as both factions sought to tip the balance in their favor. Supplies dwindled, trust eroded, and the outpost's once-unified front began to crack under the pressure. As the first casualties of the proxy war were carried through Deadrock’s dusty streets, Captain Zeke knew the tenuous peace was shattered. The marketplace, once alive with the sounds of trade and camaraderie, was now a tense arena of suspicion and fear. Each day brought new whispers of betrayal, sightings of unfamiliar faces, and the growing presence of armed patrols. The dream of a neutral sanctuary was dissolving into a nightmare of conflict. Determined to protect their haven, the outlaws prepared to defend their home against forces far more powerful and insidious than they had ever faced. In the depths of space, the lines between friend and foe blurred, and the outlaws braced for the inevitable storm.

In this Solo Adventure you assume the role of a Character in a Dark Science Fantasy setting. You will  require The Haven Fallen Core Rulebook (CRB), and any associated Expansions you wish to use to assist you, along with a pen and paper or word-processing document, to play.

The story is set up with an Introduction, a handful of location details and a few pertinent Story Points. The rest is down to you and your imagination.

The Actions you take should depend on who and what you see, and how you wish to interact. Keep a record of your story and adapt it as per the result of each Action. As you progress you will see that you are behaving as your own Storyteller, creating the interactive world in which you are playing.

Use the Character Creation section of the CRB to create your Character and use the Storyteller section of the CRB to assist with generating NPCs.

Once you have familiarised yourself with the  following few pages, you are ready to begin.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
