Greetings adventurers and Game Masters! 

I am thrilled to release the fourteenth book in my OSR Series of adventures, “MARLOWE’S MISCHIEF”, a classic dungeon delve into the demense of a mad dwarven warlord, hot on the trail of dark elf magister who has kidnapped a local noblewoman! The vile enchantress has threated to sacrifice the young woman to the drow’s Chaotic deity if her village doesn’t pay a king’s ransom in gold! Not having the hefty sum required, the Mayor (who is also the kidnapped young women’s mum) calls on adventuring heroes to save her. You can be that hero!

SYNOPSIS: While resting between adventures in the small farming community of Bumble, you find yourself in the middle of a local mystery. The village’s favourite daughter, the Lady Delphine, has gone missing without a trace! While the villagers fret and try to come up with a course of action to find her, a mysterious stranger appears before them. The traveller reveals herself to be a dark elf magister who goes by the name of Remy Marlowe; she claims to have kidnapped Delphine and vows to sacrifice her to a Chaotic deity if she is not paid a king’s ransom! After issuing her threat the woman vanishes into thin air. Recognizing you as adventurers, Mayor Daran seeks your assistance. Will you rise to the occasion, hero?

The scenario is intended for 4 to 6 veteran players with player characters of levels 2 to 4, but it can be easily modified to work with players of many levels. This adventure was written for use with most versions of the world’s oldest roleplaying game. Minimal OSR statistics for foes and items are included in the text of the adventure, but the GM is welcome to substitute them with those from their rulebook of choice. However, full OSR statistics and descriptions are given for the new foes presented: dark elves and the enchanted, animated armour.
