Horror Movie World

Horror Movie World is a PbtA-based tabletop role-playing game about shooting your own horror movie. This book will tell you how to establish a proper foreboding atmosphere, where to find inspiration and how to create your very own horror film (or even a franchise). 

In this book you’ll find:

• All the necessary rules,

• 10 archetypes,

• 8 horror subgenres,

• A short tour through the theory of horror and the eras of horror in cinematography (six of them!);

• Two sample movies for an easy start.

One of the prominent features of the game is sympathy, a mechanic reflecting the imaginary audience’s attitude towards characters and how it influences the events within the movie. 

This is the third edition of Horror Movie World, made by Fedor Kukin and Ksenia Targulian. The assistants from the Red Librarian edited and proofread the text and re-formatted the book.
