Under the Knife centers around three simple objectives with some opportunities to do some legwork and planning between.
Runners are contacted by a Johnson calling themselves The Cooler. He wants to make an example of a former asset. This includes taking out the asset and showing up to a back-alley cyberdoc to have the ill-gotten gains of the botched run installed. The Runners get to work making a plan to confront the asset before meeting the cyberdoc and securing the goods (in one way or another).
With their audition complete, the Runners can start a working relationship with the Johnson, or cut and run.
Under the Knife can be used for first-time players and veterans alike. It includes as-written threats and challenges for introductory players and additional information in Push the Envelope to challenge larger groups and more advanced players.
