A solo or multiplayer Football Management simulation game.

For the 2022 World Cup edition, Team Abilities, Management Styles and Tactics have been customized for each of the teams, including World Class players (such as Gareth Bale), Flair players and Generation Talents (such as Lionel Messi).

The year is 2022, and the place to be is Qatar. In this story, you will manage an international team as they attempt to win the biggest prize in the world of sport. This combines player customization with a choose-your-own adventure style as you build a world-class squad and attempt to steer them through the tournament to glory.

To play you’ll need a pencil and two six-sided dice (2d6). The pencil is to keep a record of your squad players, team selection and performance rolls. The dice will be used to determine how well your players perform.

Can you do it? With strategic know-how, careful man-management and luck, anything is possible!

These steps will help you on your way to the tournament:

1. How to Play: You need to plug your gaming or footballing brain into this simulation system. To help you with this, there is a selection of rules to take you through selecting tactics and playing a football match.
2. Squad Selection: Select which country you are going to manage and keep in mind the difficulty level of your choice. Then, roll to discover the best players the country has to offer.
3. Manage the Squad: Next, you’ll decide on your Management Skills, and you’ll have just enough time before the tournament to run a training camp and meet the established coaching staff. This could be an opportunity to connect more with everyone and also establish useful connections on the pitch.
4. Play the Tournament: Finally, play your matches and see which teams progress. There will be decisions to make along the way and more glory the further you go in the tournament.

Changes made for this edition:

With this World Cup scenario, the following changes were made from the original to add to the variety of team options and to more accurately capture the legendary tournaments of the past.

• Group Phase Preview has been added for context ahead of each tournament.
• Opposition Team Abilities , Tactics and Management Style has been customized for each team.
• Management Style Review has been added to provide a pre-selected option for how to run each opposition team’s Chances.
• Opposition Team Abilities: As no dice rolls are required here, the Collective (Col) and Flair (Fla) abilities have joined the existing options.
• Opposition Formations: 4-3-3 has replaced the 4-1-2-3 option.
• Changes to the story element and accompanying pictures to better reflect the time and location of Qatar 2022.
