AmerArcana is a tabletop RPG horror comedy with an underlying message about the value of public service and who the real monsters are. Player characters stumble through a supernatural underworld in this game where John Dies at the End meets The City We Became.

AmerArcana is Powered by the Apocalypse, using the same engine as the influential Apocalypse World and its successors like Monsterhearts, Masks, Monster of the Week, and Kickstarter darling Avatar Legends. Some of the rules text for AmerArcana is taken from the Dungeon World System Reference Document.

AmerArcana features:

-17 Playbooks derived from mystically-empowered public service careers.

-Original supernatural powers like Public Libraries changing reality to match fiction tropes, Public Utilities controlling electricity and sewage, and Public Works changing reality by changing maps.

-13 Corrupted, former human oppressors transformed into horrifying monstrosities, including the In-Cell (an MRA misogynist who turns into a Cronenbergian lump of flesh), the Plutocrat (a billionaire so toxic it literally spews radiation), and the White Light (a racist who burns with the so-called light of purity)–not to mention the Blueblood, the monster cop from the cover image.

-7 Undoers, the Corrupted's extradimensional overlords who do things like eat emotion and dissolve both physical bonds and emotional ones.

-7 National Spirits derived from the annals of American culture.

-NPCs, custom moves, adventure seeds, and everything else you need to run a game of AmerArcana.
