A dead burned out star impossibly trillions of years old. A leftover miracle that has survived both the previous existence and the birth of ours. The Black Sun is a unique treasure, or perhaps curse, discovered by accident. Research Base Onyx rests a safe distance from the site of the anomalous Dark Star, close enough to maintain contact with Ground Base,  where 6 intrepid researchers  dig and study the Black Sun in hopes of learning about it, our universe, and ourselves.
