**Lastest Update has Table of Contents // All Files Under 50Mbs**

Designed for solo roleplayers who seek not only deeper immersion in their gameplay but also in themselves, Vox Profunda is the next step forward for the ideas first introduced by Man Alone in Vox Gravis. Based on an even deeper exploration of the work of C.G. Jung, Vox Profunda pushes further into the primitive and esoteric, providing over a thousand unique inputs distilled through four separate oracle tools: The Keys, The Gears, The Fractals, and The Visitors, the last of which utilizes Jung's methods of Active Imagination to summon audience with well-known fictional characters throughout human history.  Each of these figures - ranging from King Arthur to Lillith to Daedalus to Don Juan - were each chosen as scions of the immortal archetypes that form the basis of the shared symbolic language of the human mind.

Yet it is not just about archetypes this time; Vox Profunda takes hold of the lens of focused illumination from its forerunner and smashes them into countless prismatic shards, each revealing a new aspect of each archetype.  The result?  Well, let's just say in Section III (The Fractals) alone, there are almost 800 different possible results for each playing card you draw, including: Location, Food/Drink, NPC Motivation, Yes/No Oracle Result, Social Dynamics, Risks, Rewards, and more.

There's lots to explore here, with almost endless combinations of unique outcomes and options, along with plenty of examples to create unique ideas all your own.  Vox Profunda can breathe life into almost any game, whether made for solo or not.
All carefully designed to elevate your solo play experience, this volume offers a powerful set of tools to enrich character exploration, decision-making, and storytelling depth.

Within these 104 pages, you will find:

Hundreds of evocative prompts and archetypes to shape compelling narratives.

Refined yes/no and interpretative oracles that provide more nuanced answers beyond simple binaries.

Symbolic and psychological tools designed to help solo players delve into themes of fate, transformation, and self-discovery.

Expanded roleplaying techniques, including structured reflection points that challenge your assumptions and deepen character progression.

A broader range of narrative engines, allowing for both structured and freeform solo play.

Unique methods for evincing profound insights, epic moments, and memorable characters, while weaving recurring motifs, and integrating personal meaning into your game.

For the lone wanderer at the edge of the map, for the dreamer listening to echoes in the dark, for the soloist seeking something beyond the surface—this is your voice in the void. Your story is waiting for you to find it.

This looks like a fantastic resourse for solo play. I try to stay away from screens these days (as much as possible anyway, I am here writing you after all) and would love to be able to buy this as a printed book. Any chance that option will be added in the near future?

Something odd about file sizes… the BW file is slightly larger than the color file, which shouldn’t be the case.

Also, be aware that 50MB is the PDF size limit for Kindle transfer. If you can keep your PDFs below that, they can be read on a Kindle without mangling the file further.

Have you thought about making a deck of Archetype cards? It’s always better to avoid a reference table lookup, and I don’t have the cognitive bandwidth to memorize the archetype meanings myself, so I’d always use the reference.

Thanks for these oracles - you’ve hit a good level of profundity that is balanced with good utility.

Thanks, I'm not too tech savvy so I can't answer your question about the file sizes. I try my best with the tech stuff and focus on the ideas. If I can figure out how to reduce the file size I'll see what I can do on next update. As for the cards, I don't know how to do that either. I'm sure it requires graphic design stuff which I suck at so probably not a great usage of my time. Maybe someone who sees this will be inspired to work with me and help make some cards for this. All of this is just me - writing, editing, arranging, marketing, compressing and uploading files - and I'm only decent at one of those. I very much hope to assist with the cognitive bandwidth of others but I have to respect my own bandwidth as well!

I would also like to challenge the idea of "memorizing" the archetypes; the name alone already has meaning to you, beyond what me or anyone can tell you. That's what makes them archetypes. I get it though, I like cards too, and can see the value of having something...See more

Eghhhhhhh I know I know – don’t think I haven’t thought of it!!! But would it work? What would it look like if I did print on demand? Don’t you think with all of the pictures it would look sort of, I don’t know, messy? It’s been keeping me up nights, tossing and turning the letters P, O, and D swirling around my thoughts.

Anyway, I’ll probably let this one marinate for a bit just to make corrections as they come in and then perhaps I can come up with an easy print option. But here is a question for you, Wizard Bryan (Assume that is what the W stands for), do you think there’ll be any value in doing a POD with less or limited pictures? Like if I took the pictures out of it and made a more bare bones version… Would that still be a desirable purchase?

*laughing*Classic Waffle.

It’s dangerous to go alone, I acknowledge you that. I have it on good authority that getting a document ready for printing at DTRPG or any other place is full of peril and consequence. My own attempts to print PDF’s I love to give away as gifts or make spiral bound table copies using Lulu are tooth-grinding-ly annoying.

My first instinct is to say, no don’t cut your artistic vision down for print-a-billity. To provide a counter argument…perhaps there is a vision accessible version you could produce for folks down the road that might make it easier to ready for print? Sort of like the Mork Borg text only edition that happened. I’m only spitballing.

Obviously don’t listen to me, and enjoy that Electrum Best Seller store credit! I’m a fan of the ‘Vox Gravis’ and the channel already so you have my appreciation either way.

Hi M.A. I'm a quiet listener to your YouTube show (Never commented) But I enjoy your content and perspective on solo roleplaying. I just recently bought Vox and I am currently trying to solo using ONLY V.P. That being said, I thought I'd throw a few spelling errors I noticed, just to help out :)

"WhEvery" on Pg. 6 "You's" Pg. 31 & 30
Hope everyone who buys this enjoys it as much as I am so far!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
