This game revolves around unresolved conflict with personalities shared within the same mind. Additionally, some language used in the description and game may inspire thoughts of "unreality." Some prompts include: parasites, feelings of anxiety or being threatened, persecution, bats, falling to your death. As the author you have narrative control of how these prompts play out and you should have a discussion with your opponent about any difficult topics.

Dream Skate is a two player PvP journaling game where players take on the role of Alters — seperate

consciousnesses that inhabit the same body — who are in conflict with each other. Your goal is to wake up before the other Alter. If you fail, you are trapped until the cycle repeates itself.

The System

Players draw cards to determine each action's difficulty and journaling prompt while using a 3d6 roll and the value of their skill to determine the outcome. This is a totally GM-less system that's easy to pick up and play! All you need to play is three 6 sided die, a deck of 52 standard playing cards, a pen, and a journal - then you're good to go! Don't forget to bring plenty of creativity!

The Game

Embark on a journey through your Dream. Experience and help to shape your opponent's Nightmare. Using journaling prompts you'll be presented with encounters, changes to the environment, and other dream-like events to propel you through the narrative of your - and your opponent's - dreamy reality. Each player takes their turn simultaneously and in secret. Carefully craft your strategy to overcome your opponent and break free of your slumber.
