Tomb Guardians (Tricube Tales One-Page RPG & Tricube Tactics Scenario)

“Centuries ago, a cruel warlord ruled the land with an iron fist, until he was eventually defeated by a band of mighty heroes. His body was interred within a hidden tomb, warded with enchantments and protected by traps and guardians to ensure he could never return to the land of the living.

As the years passed, the warlord’s dark legacy faded into myth and legend, becoming little more than a bedtime tale to scare young children. People scoffed at the mere suggestion the monster might one day return, and they whispered greedily about the riches many believed were buried within his tomb.

You are guardians, tasked with protecting the tomb from intruders. You recall little from your former lives, whether this burden was a choice or a punishment. But it matters not—your purpose is clear.”

Inspired by Overlord, Wicked Ones, and The Skeletons, Tomb Guardians is a standalone scenario for the Tricube Tales system and is usable as a micro-setting, but it is also a fully self-contained one-page RPG in its own right. You can print it on a single sheet of paper: The first page includes everything you need to play, while an optional second page expands the adventure generator with examples and twists. The PDF uses layers for ease of printing.

There is also a two-page adventure and combat scenario for Tricube Tactics, which can be printed on a second sheet of paper.

In addition, there is a 12-page Tomb Guardians playthrough showing how to run the scenario with a full combat encounter using Tricube Tactics. The seven form-fillable character cards are fully compatible with Tricube Tactics and include gameplay suggestions on the back. VTT tokens for the guardians and minions are also provided, along with an example battle map for the tomb’s central chamber.
