This has some pretty fun ways to flesh out character careers. I am glad I purchased it.
As one reviewer mentioned above, there are some holes in the document as presented (and the author's attempt to refute this by claiming that no one else has mentioned this isn't a valid justification - it just means that no one else has noticed it or bothered to comment on it).
Examples that could use some clarification:
--Conjurer's Mirror Image: I am assuming that any attack against an image removes it?
--Geomancer's formatting is discombobulated. Also, Terracall doesn't list an action cost for summoning the golem. Assuming that it is an action.
--Hexer's Enfeebling Hex: mentions any times he "inflicts a successful attack on a target" but as written, this would include dealing damage with a weapon. My assumption is that it only works when dealing damage with a spell (though I can see it either way).
--Lorekeeper's Interdisciplinary: Are Heal-type spells cast using Arcana? It would see that is what is intended.
--Necromancer's Raise Dead: Is there a cap on the number of familiars the Necro can have? I am assuming not (keeping them alive may be the limiting factor here).
--Berserker's Rage: The text mentions Bestial Rage as a guideline. I am assuming that once the Berserker has taken damage, the reduced Crit rating stays until the end of the encounter? [Same assumption with Marshal's Retribution]
--Steelcaster's Runeguard: I do not have much knowledge of Runes (RoT p.118) other than a quick readthrough, but it sounds like adding the "additional (related) effect" means using the rune as an Implement on the melee weapon instead of buffing a spell?
--Shadow Walker's Shadow Soul: Incorporeal mentions "halve damage dealt", which I assume is damage being dealt to the minion? Also, when does Life Drain trigger? I'd guess at the end of the Shadow Soul's turn?
--Thief's Greedy: I would assume that SEEING the treasure doesn't mean the thief GETS the treasure...
--Wildlander's Nimble: Sounds like a Wildlander can take a total of 3 maneuvers in a turn, for a total cost of 3 Strain. That's actually pretty cool.
All in all, nothing broken that cannot be ruled easily on the fly, but some clarification wouldn't be amiss.

Excellent character sheet. Just one issue on my PC — the boxes for strength, flaw, desire, and fear are in a hard-to-read font. Would it be possible to fix that?

Those fields use the same default font as all the other fields. Important note, is that it also has Rich Text turned on. This means that if you copy/paste text from another program the formatting is preserved. If you still have issues feel free to email me at [email protected] and I can help further. |

g00ru's Guide to Cyberthings is an exceptional supplement that significantly enhances the hacking experience in Genesys, particularly for Android: Shadow of the Beanstalk, by introducing innovative mechanics like Memory Units and Utility Programs to overcome core rule limitations. The guide provides a wealth of options for detailed rig customization through attachments and encourages the creation of Personal System Layouts to put runners on the defensive. New ice, icebreaker, and utility programs AND new talents tailored for netrunners, this supplement is must-have for players and GMs looking to dive deeper into the net.

This supplement is so cool and adds a very nice high-level overview of each district telling you what they're known for, cool places to check out, how easy it is to find certain items, which groups hang around there, and even how much it costs to live in the area. The author purports to have generated cost-of-living tiers for each district, derived from the prices of gear in the actual Shadow rule book.
A must-have resource if you're into this setting. Five stars!

The ideas are not balanced to the system mechanics. I can find idea on Reddit for a purchase I'm looking for well thought out balanced additions.

This is a great book. I think that it does a great job of capturing the feel of the Urban Fantasy genre as exemplified by novels like Dresden Files, Iron Druid, Rivers of London, etc.
I did notice that the only mention of the skill LORE is in the magic section. It is not listed as a skill in the skills section, and none of the careers have it as a career skill.

Very useful, but there are too many grammar mistakes. The author should have had a native English speaker proofread the text before publishing.

Really solid PDF of special rules and tweaks for a modern magical setting - think werewolves, vampires, fae and so-on. If you're coming here looking for a more cosmic horror vibe (which a lot of people on reddit seem to think this PDF covers), then you've come to the wrong place.

Of the TTRPGs I've played, this has now become my favorite. The mechanics of the game are fun, interesting, and unique and they fit the tones and themes of the game perfectly. The mixing of the cosmic horror genre with pulp action was done extremely well. As a Lovecraft fan, I was blown away at the attention to detail that went into the worldbuilding. I really appreciate the emphasis on safety that the creators had. Although the time period and source material both rife with bigotry and hate for people who were different, your game doesn’t have to (and shouldn’t) reflect that.
I ran the starter set when it came out and me and my players really enjoyed it. I preordered the core rulebook and was not disappointed. I’m very excited to run a full campaign for my players. Good luck investigators!

It's definitely very useful, however most of the content is just an abstract from the SOTB book. The new things are:
- cost of living in each district
- item's rarity modifiers
- 1 page about public transportation.
- 1 page map of Metro lines.
Summing up - it's nice to have, but I expected little bit more of new things.

I have been using this supplement as both a GM and Player for well over a year now. And I must say it blows other popular Superhuman supplements out of the water!
Don't let the seemingly limited number of super powers put you off - with a little creative interpretation and application of the weaknesses, you can represent almost any power with the fairly balanced ones detailed here!
The setting is also really interesting, with enough tid bits of lore to spark imagination but light enough that it also works overlaid onto any superhuman setting.
If you're looking to run Superheroes in Genesys, Awakened Age is a must-have, if only for a peak at the unique ideas and mechanics,
