The Treasure of Cutlass Cay
by Sebastian [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 09/01/2024 04:03:59

I had a great night running this adventure!

The random tables led to some fun and unexpected scenes. I explained what ash was after they defeated the zombies and of course they tried consuming it. I was very generous with giving experience and loot which was enjoyable for the players.

It was a little unclear what kind of ship the Rusty Kraken so I just gave them a frigate. Hiding the treasure behind a strength test was a little strange since it could lead to a stop in their progress. These are just minor details that didn't really take away from the positive experience, though.

Overall a lot of enjoyable, playable content in just 1 page of text.

Thank you. The strength test is the straight up way to get the treasure. I allow the players to work together or come up with other creative ways to access it. Glad you enjoyed it.

The Amulet of Delgado
by Brandon [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 04/08/2024 13:46:56

In a sea of pirate adventures, the Amulet of Delgado by Steve Gibbs, is an excellent addition for anyone who is playing Pirate Borg.
This module will easily fit into an extended campaign or offer an extravagant stand alone, for your pirate crew. It has everything you would need thematically; a quest for pieces of a magic item that will lead to a vast treasure, competing factions, ghostly pirate antagonists (who hunt you down), deadly and diverse monsters, a steaming jungle Hell, zombies, traps, quicksand, a deadly temple, a battle at sea, magic, gods and the Kraken. Players will have plenty to fight and figure out, as they navigate through four adventures, which can be accomplished in any order, culminating in a brutal and challenging finally.
The Amulet of Delgado gives your group a lot of options. It is the kind of adventure you could play more than once and discover fresh and dangerous avenues to success, or a gruesome finish. Seasoned veteran and new players alike, will find fun, challenging situations, that are well written and paced with enough action to satisfy your swashbuckling needs.
Steve Gibbs obviously loves playing Pirate Borg and it shows in this well conceived offering, that marries a compelling story, with plenty of swords, sails, occult action and arterial splatter.

Highly recommended.
