A very well-written YZE adaptation to the Old West setting, one of my favorite genres. Grateful they chose to use all d6s! The stepped dice of Twilight 2000 and Blade Runner work fine but not as thrilling as throwing down a handful of d6s. Faith and Trouble dice work well, but I wish Trouble dice were just attributes and gear, as done in Forbidden Lands (they don't count the 1s on skill dice there). Using the first 5 dice feels a little odd to me. Content 5/5;
The art and layout are well-done, especially the fonts, maps and b&w line art. The tables/charts and the character sheets are a little dull and appear like they were rendered in a spreadsheet. Since this is just a preview, I'd assume the product will get some Kickstarter cash, they'll be able to do more. The Frontier Scum RPG channels a 1800s Sears Catalog old-timey look, which immerses the game more in the setting. Likewise, Vaesen--based in a similar era--has a simple layout that is both evocative and immersive. Layout 3/5
