This is one of the best release for OSR 2024. Read it through, can't wait to run it on my table.

Ruination Pilgrimage
by Matt [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 07/14/2024 06:02:28

Hark! Lend thine ears, pilgrims of the digital way, to a tale of a most curious pilgrimage, one that puts paid to the tired tropes of old. Ruination Pilgrimage, 'tis called, and like unto the Canterbury Tales, it weaves a tapestry of travelers, each with their own burden to bear. But unlike Chaucer's merry band, these pilgrims tread a desolate path. Think ye the Black Death a mere inconvenience? Ruination Pilgrimage casts despair's shadow writ large, a world teetering on the edge of demonic madness. Here, fireballs are but a flicker of forgotten magic, replaced by the desperate pleas to Angles, celestial beings who hold the flickering torch of hope. Fear not the meek d5, gathering dust amongst its brethren! In Ruination Pilgrimage, it takes center stage. With a percentile roll, a simple d10 and your trusty d5 become the arbiters of fate. A twist of fate most foul, for the faint of heart! But fret not, for fellowship is your solace. From hardened warriors to scribes with ink-stained fingers, you'll forge a bond stronger than steel in the face of this desolate landscape. Each member a thread in the tapestry, vital to surviving the horrors that await. Yet a word of caution, good gentles. Ruination Pilgrimage is no mere lark in the meadows. It is a tale spun in shades of grey, where despair hangs heavy and hope flickers like a dying candle. Be prepared to face trials that would test the bravest knight, for both body and soul shall be put to the test. So, if thine heart be stout and thine mind yearns for a challenge unlike any other, then harken the call! Grab thine d5, a rosary, and prepare for a pilgrimage unlike any other. Ruination Pilgrimage awaits!

Ruination Pilgrimage

I think, as a whole game, Ruination Pilgrimage is fantastic. I think, as a book, it really needed some more work. The bookmarks are awful, a lot of lore (cool and inspiring lore!) AND rules are hidden in side columns and footnotes, and the book is almost completely devoid of what play is supposed to look or feel like. The writing that's here is great. The art is fantastic. The themes present and new rules make a very exciting game. You should probably have an understanding of Mothership if you want to play this game, and it will take some work to put its rules into action, but I think what IS here is very high quality.

Adventures & Pilgrimages for Ruination Pilgrimage

I cannot search the PDF nor copy and paste. If not allowing copy and past is for copywrite, I get it, but not being able to search makes this a bad purchase. Otherwise, it would have 5 stars for content.

The Forgotten Rites of the Moldering Dead
by Jeremy E. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 09/17/2020 11:03:02

Indispensable for anyone playing tabletop rpgs that ever feature the undead, dead people, places where dead people are buried or anything or anyone associated with the dead. It's almost 100 pages of instantly useable game content and seeds for an infinite amount of ideas and inspiration. Remarkable. The follow-up to "The Lesser Key to the Celestial Legion" which is the same high quality. Get both and your games will be better for it.

The Forgotten Rites of the Moldering Dead

I picked this up during the Kickstarter campaign, and ended up drawing a pair of maps that appear in it, but I have no ongoing financial ties to the product.

I love the flavor that it provides for undead and I've already used it to improve a level of my Hochheim mega-dungeon. This book is just so cool that I want to use it to add flavor throughout my campaign.

If you've got necromancers, minion undead, or greater undead roaming in your game, this is the reference you need to really make them pop!

Lesser Key to the Celestial Legion
by Morgan S. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 05/13/2019 12:41:51

Backed this through Kickstarter, and I am glad I did. Clerics are integral to the games I run and all of the content in the book is both evocative and gameable, even if you aren't running DCC. It provides flavor for all types of clerics and helps to set them apart from other casters in a meaningful way. The Herald generator is my favorite as it really encapsulates the strange, terrible, awe-inspiring nature of divine messengers. I would highly reccomend this to anyone who wants complex clerics and religion in their games.
