Since this article only used the races from the 5e OGL, all it has really done is given an example of how the concept should work, and left all the actual work as an excercise for the reader. There are no new abilities. If the authors could not adapt all the options from the PHB, they should have made their own to fully realize rhe idea. As it is, there is not enough content here to be usable.
