Lost Galaxy: Stranded on Deiphos is a masterclass in tabletop role-playing game design, offering an evocative blend of science fiction, fantasy, and imaginative storytelling. It is supported by stellar writing, elegant mechanics, and a striking visual presentation.
From the first page, the writing grips the reader with its wit, clarity, and narrative depth. The tone strikes a remarkable balance between humor and gravitas, welcoming new players with clever quips while offering veteran TTRPG enthusiasts robust lore and thoughtful world-building. The game’s setting—a post-scarcity, post-contemporary galaxy—feels both alien and profoundly relevant. Each species is assigned a compelling identity rooted in philosophy, biology, and nuanced sociopolitical considerations. The Dwarves, Orzoks, Selpidians, Synthetics, and Humans are not just re-skinned tropes... they’re rich cultures with unique motivations, societal structures, and even reproductive systems that serve to deepen immersion.

Very well done.
My only disappointments with this book were:
1. That the appendix of the monster manual wasn't included at all, I know the author has stated this was due to a lot of these creatures just being normal animals and I agree harvesting tables wouldn't be needed for the normal animals, but so many are not just mundane! Wargs, blink dogs, death dogs, phase spiders, winter wolves, giant fire beetles, flying snakes, awakened shrubs and trees. I also think there's a lot of potential for the giant animals, there c...
