ZWEIHANDER RPG Reforged Edition Core Rulebook
by Raymon
Publisher: ZWEIHANDER Games
Date Added: 07/08/2025 19:08:43
pixel_trans.gif ZWEIHANDER RPG Reforged Edition Core Rulebook Zweihander is one of those games that, on the surface, is an awesome, neutral set grimdark tromp, but when you gwt to thw heart of it, it reveals itself to be a great aetting for just about any fantasy setting where stakes matter and heroes are forged in the game, not prepackaged superheroes weild9ng swords. Being tough, but fair, the D10 system it uses is wonderfully balanced with plenty of room to be as firm/fair as a table needs to be, and building intricate mystery, hard hitting combat, and a magic system that doesnt give off the "video game" feel that many others do is very refreshing. For players and DMs looking to play something less D20centric, this is one of the first games I bring to the table. All in all, Zweihander falls into my top 10 for Grimdark, and top 20 for games in general. When I want something dark, where stakes are high and heroes need to stay on their toes, I dont have to go far with Zweihander!...

Middlerock Mysteries: The Washed Up Wizard | A One Shot Adventure
by Matt T.
Publisher: Brightlybrewed

pixel_trans.gif Middlerock Mysteries: The Washed Up Wizard | A One Shot Adventure Production quality is excellent- clearly explained, well laid out, very good art and maps. Mysteries do need a bit more explaining but it would benefit form being much more concise. Overal plot is fine. Not particularly original but well set up for open investigation and a good amount of substance.

Hollow Men

pixel_trans.gif Hollow Men This is a wonderful introduction to the disturbing and complex life of an Arcadian Sidhe. Emotional and rich, it begins the tale of a being reaching for a new life and coming face to face with the uncomfortable realities of his old life that arent intersted in letting him go without a reckonning. Filled with the glamour of Changeling, CTA's first tale on SV is colorful, enchanting, and left me hungry for more of August's story.

Asatania (AS-1): Face Down in a Muddy Road (5E)
by Matt

pixel_trans.gif Asatania (AS-1): Face Down in a Muddy Road (5E) Positives first: production values are high, layout is good, descriptions are very clear, maps are ok and it's easy to read. My main frustration with this adventure is that it just uses so many words to say so very little. It's completely linear with 2 seemingly unavoidable fights and a few chats with unremarkable NPCs. Every aspect of this brief and predictable journey is spelled out in explicit detail. If you are a very cautious new DM who wants a particularly unchallenging-to-run first adventure (even compared to most intro adventures) that is very clearly explained then this is probably ok. ...

pixel_trans.gif Miskatonic Repository Logo Pack These are pretty keen! I might like to see a little variety of colors of the font and border just to make it available for odd-color-schemed covers, but other than that, fantastic!

pixel_trans.gif Evolved - Super Heroic Time Travel Tabletop RPG - Powered by DCC RPG - As another mentioned, awesome artwork. Interesting setting with two linked time periods and a Days of Futures Past vibe. Ability to pull in rules, stat blocks, etc. from DCC or DCC-based games gives the potential to expand the universe into the kind of diversity of heroes and enemies seen in comics from big publishers, where mythological gods team up with tech-based heroes and those with powers.

Book of Courts
by James M. F.
Publisher: White Wolf
Date Added: 07/08/2025 13:00:50
pixel_trans.gif Book of Courts Another wonderful book to keep Lost Alive. The looks into the lives of the courts are interesting but where I feel the book really shines are the looks into systems beyond the Seasonal, both expansions to those we've already seen and new Courts found entirely in this book. Its well worth the price.

pixel_trans.gif Brackenfell Academy for Adventuring Arts - An Original Campaign Frame Using the Daggerheart™ System The Daggerheart Campaign Frame model is such a great tool for GMs in planning and building their campaigns, I was thrilled to find someone already using it! Brackenfell seems to be a fun (and familiar) campaign frame, I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to run or play in it, but I hope that we see a lot more content like this!

Rural Gothic

Publisher: Smart Bonsai Games
Date Added: 07/08/2025 10:42:25
pixel_trans.gif Rural Gothic This game is a little gem. I’ve always loved this kind of atmosphere, and being able to experience it through such a simple yet complete system was a pleasant surprise. There are two rulebook pamphlets, pre-generated characters, and a ready-to-play adventure. In short, everything you need to relive the mood of films like Sleepy Hollow. We need more games like this :)

pixel_trans.gif Vaesen: The Man Who Was Too Lucky Brilliant atmospheric scenario with a whole town for the adventurers to deal with and multiple threats to challenge them. The ramifications of the events in this scenario offer great roleplaying triggers to extend beyond just this adventure. Lovely artwork too.

pixel_trans.gif Evolved - Super Heroic Time Travel Tabletop RPG - Powered by DCC RPG - Evolved follows the vein of other DCC off-shoots with the dice chain system. The artwork is wicked awesome and reminds me of the original TMNT comics. The mechanics are straight forward. I minus one star for current lack of index and bookmarks in digital file. nothing a ctrl+f cant fix. The creator has also added an printable TOC and Index that can be used. In terms of content it has plenty that can be used and built off of for whatever flavor of capes you need from mutants to super heroes.

Warhammer: the Old World Roleplaying Game, Player's Guide
by Michal

pixel_trans.gif Warhammer: the Old World Roleplaying Game, Player's Guide I'm really impressed with the quality of the mechanics as written. The design appears to align well with how I prefer to run my games, and the complexity level seems to be just right to not overwhelm. I think there is a certain OSR-ish quality to Old World (which I really like), in particular in how often the GM rulings are referred to in the book. Same with the focus on streamlining and presenting information on one page where possible. I like the roughly 50-50 odds on an average ability test I feel is chefs kiss for its intuitiveness. Because it only goes up from there for most characters' chosen niches, the game likely becomes less about straight up failing (which is boring in my book, and just a drag for pacing) and more about the degrees of success (possibly against opposition, or in the context of scalable, 'stretch-goals' results) and complications. Zone combat and lack of AoOs supports more dynamic action scenes, and the 'Help' action gives less combat-oriented PCs a way to ...
